Our Purpose
TREDCO exists to lead economic development efforts across the Temagami region. Our goal is to enhance the region’s economic viability while supporting community well-being, environmental sustainability, and cultural inclusion.
Our History
TREDCO was established by municipal bylaw in 2024 following years of strategic planning. Recognizing the need for a dedicated economic development body, the Municipality of Temagami formed the Corporation to unify business, community, and government interests under a single development mandate.
Governance & Structure
TREDCO is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of local leaders with professional, entrepreneurial, or civic experience. The Board works alongside staff from the Municipality, including the Economic Development Officer, and oversees multiple Working Groups dedicated to specific strategic themes.
